This October, 17 members of Stringers Gym will be participating in the 10 mile obstacle course race, Kernow Killer.
As the team battles 50+ obstacles, across 10 mud lagged miles, they will be raising funds for South West Children’s Hospice and Leo Cor; Two local charities bettering the lives of young people in difficult or dangerous situations.
Team members and Stringers instructors Amelya and Sean are also part of the race. Amelya says that she’s showing the world that she can smash this course after someone told her that she couldn’t! Whilst Sean says that it’ll be fun and a great chance to bond with other gym members.
To get involved and sponsor the team we encourage you to use our Just Giving link >here< to donate. We can assure you that every little bit will be much appreciated.
On the day, if you wish to cheer them on, there is plenty to see and do on the course situated in Zelah, near Truro. Join the fun and show your support!
Stringer’s Gym is proud to support our local community and have previously raised money for SW Children’s Hospice when they ran the mega 40 mile run in 2018!
South West Children’s Hospice is an incredible service that provides respite for children with life-limiting conditions. Not only do they offer this service in a fun, friendly, and safe way for the children, but they also support the families too. Dedicated to making the most of these short and precious lives, they focus on not only medical and nursing facilities but also enriching the lives of those that they can.
Leo Cor Training is a Cornwall based, globally reaching, Social Justice Initiative teaching self defence, confidence and empowerment to young women and children in high risk areas.
Ranging from local primary schools here in Cornwall, to orphanages in the hills of Nepal and safe houses in Northern India, the Leo Cor team embrace every opportunity to better the lives of those that they can.
